Incentivize2Learn Privacy Policy

Incentivize2Learn ("I2L," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of Kipuka Capital, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit the I2L public website, request a demo, use the authenticated web application, or use an I2L native learner app. Together, these are the "Services."

Most I2L accounts are issued and managed by a school district or another organization. That organization controls roster details and may have its own privacy notices, agreements, and record-retention duties. If those terms provide additional protections, they continue to apply.

1. Scope

This policy covers:

  • The public website at incentivize2learn.com and related I2L marketing pages
  • The authenticated I2L web application used by district staff and administrators
  • The native iOS and Android learner apps used by district staff
  • Demo requests, support messages, account requests, and other direct communications with I2L

It does not replace a district's employee or privacy notice. Third-party websites and services linked from I2L have their own privacy practices.

2. Information We Collect

Information provided by you or your organization

  • Roster and identity information: name, email address, district, school, staff role, and account status
  • Authentication information: password data used during sign-in or password changes, plus session tokens used to keep an account signed in; the native app does not retain your password
  • Learning records: assignments, enrollments, favorites, progress, watch activity, completions, credited hours, and due-date status
  • Responses and feedback: quiz answers, reflections, assessment responses, feedback, and support messages
  • Certificates and rewards: certificate records and PDFs, reward eligibility, credited-hour progress, claim status, and redemption information when rewards are enabled
  • Administrator activity: roster, assignment, content, completion, approval, and reporting actions taken within an authorized district or school scope

Public website and demo requests

When you request a demo, we collect your name, district or organization, work email, optional role, and optional message. We also create a salted one-way hash from network information to limit repeated or automated submissions. The submitted details and notification status are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database. We use the information only to process, protect, and respond to the request.

Device, notification, and technical information

  • IP or network metadata, request identifiers, timestamps, browser or app version, operating system, and error information
  • A random installation identifier, device platform, and session information used by the native apps
  • An Expo push token and notification preferences when a learner chooses to enable push notifications
  • Cookies or similar session technologies needed for authentication, security, and essential application behavior

The native learner app does not currently include advertising or behavioral-analytics software and does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, Bluetooth, health information, or advertising tracking.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and secure district-issued accounts and sessions
  • Deliver professional learning, preserve progress, verify completion, and issue credited hours and certificates
  • Determine and display reward eligibility and support reward claims when a district's I2L program includes rewards
  • Give authorized district and school administrators scoped roster, assignment, completion, and reporting tools
  • Send account, assignment, deadline, certificate, reward, and service communications
  • Deliver push notifications when a learner enables them
  • Respond to demo, support, account, and data requests
  • Prevent abuse, diagnose problems, maintain reliability, and improve the Services
  • Meet contractual, legal, security, and recordkeeping obligations

We do not sell personal information or use it to deliver third-party behavioral advertising.

4. When We Share Information

We disclose information only as needed for the Services, including to:

  • Your district or organization: authorized administrators can view records within their permitted district or school scope
  • Infrastructure providers: hosting, databases, file storage, security, and content-delivery providers process information needed to operate I2L
  • Communications providers: Resend and mobile push services process the minimum information needed to deliver email or enabled push notifications
  • Mobile platform providers: Expo, Apple, and Google support app distribution, updates, device services, and notification delivery
  • Content and reward providers: Educational Impact supports professional-learning content, and reward providers such as Tremendous process eligible gift-card claims
  • Professional advisers and authorities: we may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, or others
  • A successor organization: information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law

Service providers may use information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.

5. Account and Data Choices

You can change your password in the I2L Account area. Name, email, role, school, and district details come from your organization's roster; contact your district administrator to correct them or deactivate an account.

For an access, correction, deletion, or other privacy request, contact the I2L team using the information below and include the account email and district. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your organization. Contractual, legal, security, or district record-retention requirements may limit or delay a requested change or deletion.

You can disable native push notifications through the app or device settings. Essential authentication and security technologies cannot be disabled while using an authenticated account.

6. Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. API traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are not stored in readable form, authenticated learner responses and certificate downloads are not public, and the server is the authority for progress, credit, completion, certificates, and reward eligibility.

No security method is perfect. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain reliable learning and completion records, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and meet district, contractual, legal, and security obligations. Temporary certificate files created for sharing may remain with the operating system or a destination chosen by the user. Exact retention can vary by record type and customer requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

I2L is a workplace professional-learning service for district staff and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to create an I2L account. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Services, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. International Use

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from another country, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and use reasonable methods to notify affected users or customer organizations when a material change requires notice.
